Our apartment - situated in Eisenaerzt-Hoergering, near Siegsdorf - is suitable for 4 persons (76 m²).
The region, called Chiemgau, is worth a trip either in summer or in winter. You like hiking or biking? You love alpine skiing in winter, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or sledding? Then it is time to visit this region.
You can go on tour by bike, you can hike, you can go skiing. A tennis court is nearby, only about 2 km away.
Make plans for a boat trip on lake Chiemsee, visit the two islands Herrenchiemsee and Frauenchiemsee, make a trip to Berchtesgaden with its salt mine. Last but not least: Salzburg is waiting for you, visit Mozart´s birthplace, the old town or the opera house.
In Eisenaerzt itself you will find a supermarket, a very well-stocked store for sporting goods, an antiques store and restaurants.
In case there is enough snow you can start your cross-country skiing tour in Hoergering (trail starts near sports ground). Otherwise it is only a short ride to the Ruhpolding or Winklmoos cross-country and alpine ski areas. You will find spacious cross-country ski trails along your way to Reit im Winkl.
Hiking trails will be cleared during winter months. Another idea: A boat trip to the island Fraueninsel in winter is a dreamlike experience that you should not miss.
