Tour description:
From the starting point, you cycle along the Großache River past Erpfendorf and Kirchdorf to St. Johann in Tirol. Along the southern slopes of the Wilder Kaiser, you pass through Going, Ellmau, and Scheffau. Over the Eiberg, you reach the fortress town of Kufstein and then through Ebbs. Over the Buchberg, the route leads to Durchholzen. Keep right and cycle directly to Lake Walchsee. Via Kössen, you return comfortably to the parking lot at the gondola lift, the starting point.

Arrival by car
From Munich or Salzburg, take the Munich-Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt, exit 109), continue towards Marquartstein and then the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl. Continue to Kössen to the Unterberghorn cable car parking lot. From Munich or Innsbruck, take the Rosenheim-Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit 59). Continue to Walchsee, Kössen to the Unterberghorn cable car parking lot. Those driving from Reit im Winkl should use the public parking lot at the Tourist Information Center.
Arrival by public transport
Connections to Reit im Winkl: From Prien am Chiemsee train station, take the RVO bus, line 9505. From Ruhpolding train station, take the RVO bus, line 9506. The bus stop is directly at the town hall. All timetables are available at www.reitimwinkl.de.
