There is hardly anywhere where you can breathe history better than in centurie-old churches, chapels and monasteries. Each building is a chapter in itself, many have seen turbulent times of destruction and reconstruction. The most visited sacred buildings in the Chiemgau-Area are the cathedral on Frauenchiemsee, the "Salzachdom" in Fridolfing, the Seeon monastery and Baumburg Abbey.
