The Chiemgau Alps between Munich and Salzburg have always been a popular MTB area. And recently the first signposted mountainbike region in the Bavarian Alps has been established there: MTB fans will find a mountain bike network of over 750 kilometers on around 1,200 square kilometers. 71 tours, including bike & hike and bike & swim tours, lead to mountain huts and peaks. Many tours are suitable for E-MTBs or gravel bikes.

The designated routes run mainly on forestroads. Along the way you will get magnificent views of the Alpine foothills or the glaciers of the main Alpine ridge. Most of the signposted tours run on hiking trails and are used “mitnand” by all mountain sports enthusiasts - with mutual consideration.

Bike & Hike, Bike & Swim

Not all tours lead directly to the summit. And narrow mountain paths are a pleasure to walk and protect nature. That is why some tours are designed as Bike & Hike. Tours that lead past small alpine lakes promise even more delight - and an invitation to refresh yourself.
