High above the Priental, on the south side of the Sonnwendwand, lies the cozy Hofbauernalm. Between Kampenwand and Geigelstein, you can find peace and relaxation up here at 1,379 meters. While you enjoy a cool drink and a delicious alpine snack, with a little luck you can even spot a few marmots - popularly known as Mankei - in the pasture area. The traditional Hofbauernalm was first mentioned in the middle of the 16th century, and today's alpine hut dates back to the 1920s.
