The Moor Adventure Trail in Grassau & Rottau is an entertaining hiking route in the Kendlmühlfilzen Nature Reserve. This variant can also be walked with a stroller.

Tour description:

Starting from the Museum Salz & Moor in Grassau, you pass play and puzzle stations directly into the Kendlmühlfilzen Nature Reserve, one of the largest raised bogs in southern Bavaria. This variant of the route is also stroller accessible.

Our tips for you:

  • Along the entire path you'll find lovely spots to rest. So don’t forget your picnic.
  • If you are out with a stroller, be sure to observe the changed route guidance. The forest path is not suitable for strollers.
  • If you still want to take the forest path with the little ones, you can borrow one of our child carriers at the Grassau tourist information.

Tips for this tour

A piece of homemade cake after a short hike always tastes especially good. You can get it directly at the museum café at the starting point.

Arrival by car

Coming from the A8 towards Munich: Take the second exit at the roundabout towards Reit im Winkl and follow the road through Bernau and Rottau. About 2 km after leaving Rottau, the starting point, the Museum Salz & Moor, is on the right side.
