Tour description:
This hiking route is ideal for all nature lovers who prefer to stay in the valley. Along the way, you can discover the Kendlmühlfilzen nature reserve as the route leads you through the Moorrundweg and the Moorerlebnisweg. Both the observation tower on the circular path and the viewing platform on the adventure path are accessible by a short detour and definitely worth a look. Before returning to Grassau via the Panoramaweg, a visit to the Rottauer Waterfall is definitely worthwhile. Along the route, you will find a small hut called the "sandpit." It was part of the water impact pipeline. You will learn exactly what it is about directly at the information board.
Tip for this route:
- At the Salt & Moor Museum (May to October) you can learn about the moor.
- In the museum café next door, there is delicious cake.
