Tour description:
Highlights of the tour: St. Johann im Gebirg church, Unkenbach valley, Schwarzberg gorge natural monument
From the Heutal valley, the route continues on the main road in the direction of Unken, shortly before Unken, turn left at the Friedlwirt signs. Alternatively, you can ride along the main road via Ochsenbrunn and Gföll.
Now follow the Unkenbach valley, initially rising slightly, later it becomes very steep. A rest is recommended on the high bridge just before the Schwarzberg gorge (natural monument) 300 m left after the bridge. Now about 300 m to the Winklmoos-Alm.
Orientation text: This tour runs in the border area of the Salzburger Land and is signposted by the tourism associations responsible there. After crossing the border, orientate yourself on the signs. Furthermore, we recommend a navigation device (mobile phone, GPX device) and careful planning before the start of every tour!
The Muckklause is a dam that was previously used for the wood drift into the valley. It is beautifully embedded in the middle of the forest in the wonderful Unkental valley. It was built in 1792 and is now a listed building after several renovations.

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district, then via the toll road from Seegatterl to the Winklmoos - Alm.

Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the federal motorway Rosenheim - Innsbruck (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59), on to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Continue on the B 305 to Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district, then via the toll road from Seegatterl to the Winklmoos - Alm.
