The building is equipped with a geothermal heat pump with a cooling function, a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery, and a photovoltaic system with battery storage.
According to the available energy production and consumption data, the photovoltaic system generates more than twice as much electrical energy over the course of a year as the entire building, including the vacation apartment and electric vehicle charging, consumes. Solar power that is not used immediately or stored is fed into the public power grid.

The location in Gstadt offers numerous opportunities to explore Lake Chiemsee and the Chiemgau region. Swimming, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and boating are just some of the activities available, as are biking and hiking around the lake and in the Chiemgau Alps.
The Lake Chiemsee cruise service is particularly close by: From Gstadt, you can reach Fraueninsel and then Herreninsel, home to Herrenchiemsee Palace. In winter, activities include winter hikes, cross-country skiing, and excursions to the Chiemgau Alps. Ruhpolding is also the venue for the Biathlon World Cup.
