Thorau Almen

Staudigelhütte - bell forge - Thoraualmen - Staudigelhütte

The hike can be started at the parking lot at the Staudigelhütte . From here, follow the tarred road along the signs to "Glockenschmiede" (path no. 65). Once this has been passed, the path now becomes a comfortable, slowly ascending gravel path , which leads along a stream in the direction of "Thoraualm" (path no. 66).

After a while the path turns into an idyllic and well-trodden mountain path . On this one stays on the right side until you come to a climb . After a short, very steep stretch you come back to the normal route . The trail continues to the right, over easy-to-walk rock steps , to a promising path fork . From here, the Thoraualm can already be seen on the left. In a few minutes we have reached our destination, the Alm, and with a bit of luck we will be rewarded with a view of marmots above the Alm .
