Zum Chiemsee

Tip : Arriving by train? It's easy! Below is how it works best. All public transport tips were tested live.

From the train station, turn right in the direction of the town center, then straight as a die along the main road to the old district of Feldwies. It is worth turning left, for example onto hiking trail no. 1, which leads through settlements, along the Übersee Bach and finally to the banks of the Chiemsee. Here always along the shore to the lido, then on the shore path, which offers wonderful bays and views over the lake. After about an hour there is a bird watching tower on the left. Then either go to the Baumgarten district in the direction of the motorway and cross it. Again, there are paths that turn left if you don't want to walk along the main road. Alternatively, turn around at the birdwatching tower and walk back the same way along the shore.

Arriving by train

Approach : RE 5 overseas

Exit : Übersee train station

Way to the church car park (designated starting point of the tour) : Walk from the train station in the direction of the town centre, you cannot miss the church. (Alternatively from the train station in the direction of Chiemsee as described above).

Duration of arrival: train ride + 5 minutes walk to the church
