The Alm can be easily reached with the Hochplattenbahn mountain station.
Nevertheless, you can also hike up from the valley station all year round. The path is well signposted . (ascent time: approx. 1 1/4 hours) .
Starting from the mountain station, there is also a tour around the large Staffn with a wonderful view of the Chiemsee(duration: approx. 1 hour) .
The mountain forest adventure trail is a beautiful hike, especially for families with children, and there is a playground for the little ones on the Staffn-Alm.
In winter, the Staffn-Alm is the starting point for the 3 km long natural toboggan run .
The large sun terrace offers a unique mountain panorama , with covered and uncovered places . The special feature here are the delicious fried potatoes , for which the Alm is known. The "earth apples" (as potatoes used to be called) taste particularly good and are notorious for the Staffn-Alm.
