From Urschlau, a leisurely hike, also very suitable for families, leads uphill through the Röthelmoos to the Dandlalm (ascent time: approx. 1 hour) . The path leads uphill along the Urschlauer Ache to the Bergwalderlebniszentrum. Immediately afterwards there is an impressive view of the Röthelmoos Gorge . Another ascent alternative starts from the Weitsee car park (duration of ascent: approx. 1 hour) .
Relax and forget the time ; this is exactly what the Dandlalm, below the Gunwaldkopf, invites you to do. Here you can unwind and let yourself be pampered with homemade (organic) delicacies . The menu is manageable, but just as typical as it should be for a mountain hut . When it comes to home-made quark bread with fresh herbs or home-made alpine cheese bread with tomatoes and garlic, who needs more? Buttermilk, organic apple juice and homemade lemonades and liqueurs quench your thirst. On Sunday there are homemade "undressed".
To make the alpine atmosphere perfect, cows graze around the alpine pasture and rabbits and chickens run through the meadows.
