From the town hall square in Siegsdorf, the hike leads over the bridge of the main road and on to Wernleiten and up the Hochberg. An impressive view of the Chiemgau mountains awaits you there. It continues over the Hochberg to Daxerau, where from Seiboldsdorf the path along the Traun leads back to Siegsdorf.
The Hochberg is a great terrace with a view of the Bavarian mountains and Lake Chiemsee, and sunsets when the weather is nice are also very popular. The Alpengasthof Hochberg offers Bavarian delicacies and international dishes. Sufficient time should be planned for the tour and nice weather for the view on the Hochberg.
Without a car to the Siegsdorf town hall
How to get there : RB 53 from Traunstein train station to Ruhpolding
Exit : Siegsdorf stop
Way to the town hall : Leave the train station to the right and turn right again at Bahnhofsstrasse. Cross the tracks, the town hall and the hiking signs are on the left.
Travel time: approx. 5 minutes by train + 2 minutes on foot
Note : The way back can be shortened via the Seiboldsdorf or Traundorf stops.
