Tour description:

01:00 a.m. Petting.

From the wooden information spiral , follow the path to the right onto the route of the former peat railway . After you have passed some former manual peat cuttings, you will get to panel 2, which explains the phases of manual peat cutting . Continue along the route of the old peat railway through the forest, where you reach a rest bench on the left. There you can enter the heath .

Passing exposed mountain pine areas and pine forests, it goes to point 3, the information board " Latschen Filz ". At this point, a remnant area of the previously unwooded Schönramer Filz can be seen. Shortly thereafter, the path branches off to the left of the forest path and leads through younger moor forests onto a boardwalk that leads you to the high moor.

At the end of the path, turn left onto the forest road that leads to the Great Moorsee . Shortly thereafter, on the right you can see a still active manual peat cutting , which only gives you an idea of how laborious the work of peat extraction must have been. Finally, after another 500 meters, you will reach the starting point again.
