Sailing across the Bavarian Sea

Around 3,000 sailing ships are permitted on the Chiemsee, but the boats rarely get in each other's way on the 80 square kilometers. The lake often offers ideal conditions for relaxed sailing trips, but it is still important to inform yourself out about wind and weather in advance. The sailing schools around the lake offer numerous courses for children and adults. You can even rent many models from dinghy to yachts.

Important area information about the Chiemsee

Sailing on the Waginger See

The Waginger See is located in the eastern Chiemgau-Area. At Tettenhausen it is separated from its "little brother" Tachinger See by an isthmus. With its nine square kilometers of water surface and water temperatures of up to 27°C, the Waginger See is a small paradies for water sports. It offers ideal conditions for leisure captains and a relaxing day on the water.
