Tour description:

We start at the lower Streichen car park near Achberg. From there we hike in the direction of Gscheuerwand and Chiemhauser Alm to the first junction. The shortcut leads us quite steeply uphill to the forest path. We follow this on the right, pass the Haideralm and then turn left towards Gscheuerwand. It continues uphill and on this section of the path we can enjoy the view of Schleching and towards Chiemsee again and again. After a while the path branches off to the left and we continue to follow the signs towards Gscheuerwand. It's now leisurely uphill until we arrive below the Gscheuerwand and can decide there whether we want to take the left path or the right path to the wall. On the left, the path leads briefly up the steep rock face. The right-hand path is better suited for people who are afraid of heights. On the Gscheuerwand we can take a break on the benches and enjoy the beautiful view over the entire Achental to Lake Chiemsee. The way back is the same, past the Haideralm again. Then you can decide whether you want to go down the shortcut or alternatively continue to follow the forest road. After about 20 minutes we get back to the lower Streichen car park.
