To Hefter- and Rachlalm | Alpine round trip from Rottau

The Alpine round to the Hefter- and Rachlalm starts at the Tourist Information Rottau. First, head along Holzweg towards the hiking signposts, from where field and forest paths lead to a forest road. The initial ascent is moderate and leads over a small ford at Grießenbach. Further on, the path becomes steeper and the ground increasingly rocky. A rest at the Hefteralm offers a well-deserved break. Freshly strengthened, continue walking below the alp, cross a stream and reach the Rachlalm over a hill. For the return route, follow the forest road downhill and orient yourself by the signs towards Torgraben. Continue over Zeppelinhöhe and past Strehtrumpf. Important: Do not turn towards Marquartstein or Grassau. At the resting bench at Strehtrumpf, the last section begins – a pleasant descent over a field path. Finally, the Panoramaweg leads left back to Rottau, where the round ends at the starting point.
