Germany’s oldest high-mountain cogwheel railway has been bringing mountain lovers and holidaymakers to one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Bavaria in comfort since 1912. There are numerous sights to discover around the summit - from Germany's highest show cave to the university observatory . Since the 1,838 m high Wendelstein is accessible from two valleys, varied round trips and hikes can be undertaken with the Wendelstein bus ring line. A multi-faceted summer of events rounds off the offer on and around the Wendelstein.
In winter, experienced skiers enjoy the steep descents into the valley and the breathtaking view of 150 kilometers.

The cable car runs as follows:
- daily from 9:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until April 30th. Please note that the cable car is closed from 11/08/21 to 11/21/21 due to an overhaul.
