Tour description:

The sunny route leads on snow-covered and partially maintained paths in a loop from the Museum Salz & Moor along the edge of the Kendlmühlfilzen nature reserve to Rottau and further across the Rottau and Hacken Filz towards Bernau to Farbinger Hof.

Tips for this tour

A detour to the iced-over Rottau waterfall is definitely worthwhile. But caution: The path here is not maintained.

Arrival by car

From the A8 coming from Munich: Take the second exit at the roundabout towards Reit im Winkl and follow the road through Bernau and Rottau. About 2 km after leaving Rottau, the starting point, the Museum Salz & Moor, is on the right side.

Free parking is available at Museum Salz & Moor.

Arrival by public transport

Take bus line 9505/Prien - Reit im Winkl - Prien and get off at the Klaushäusl/Museum Salz & Moor stop.
