Tour description:

Discover, experience, look, enjoy - a special place, its wonderful path: steeped in history and close to nature. Let the water lily guide you on a relaxing walk. Uniquely located in the middle of the Chiemgau landscape and surrounded by eight lakes, the Klostersee is the largest in the lake district. The view over the lake is dominated by the two onion domes of the former Benedictine monastery. It is located on a peninsula, is today a cultural and educational center and can be described as the cultural heart of the Chiemgau with its varied cultural program. Hiking around the lake is one of the most beautiful and intensive ways to discover all facets of this gem. The best way to do this is with open eyes and ears and a little leisure – maybe even without a mobile phone? The water lily is a faithful companion on this varied themed trail. Enjoy the flora on the shore and look at the impressive flowers. It is not for nothing that the water lily, which is also anchored in many of Seeon's coats of arms, is the namesake of this walk. Immerse yourself in the history of a special place and take a look at the "books" along the way with interesting anecdotes about the town of Seeon.

Tip

As a further special feature, this walk with different variants also invites you to explore nature and offers a breathtaking view over the monastery to the Chiemgau Alps from the vineyard viewpoint.
