Paddling in a kayak or canoe is considered to be very meditative - apart from the whitewater variant. Not without reason, because this sport opens up lonely shore areas of the lakes that are reserved for swimmers and sunbathers. On Lake Chiemsee, kayaks and canoes should not be more than 300 meters from the shore, the mouth of the Tiroler Achen is not accessible.
