The Jausenalm can be easily reached from the Hochplattenbahn car park (Schloßstrasse 46, Marquartstein) via a forest road. The path leads through a forest past the Staffn-Alm and Plattenalm (ascent time: approx. 2 ½ hours) .
The hike can also be started at the mountain station of the Hochplattenbahn(ascent time: 1 ½ hours) .
With a beautiful view of Lake Chiemsee and the Alps, you can then enjoy your own pickled soft cheese and mountain cheese .
Cows are kept on the alp, which means that milk and cheese can be produced in-house .
And if you haven't had enough, you can go further up the Kampenwand from here (ascent time: approx. 1 ¼ hours) .
