Colorful winter experiences for the whole family

There is a lot to do and a lot to see in Inzell, especially for families. Imagine going for a toboggan ride, through a winter forest and to the ice rink in one day! No problem in Inzell. Family-friendly cross-country trails complete the experience. On top of that you can get a lot of benefits with the Chiemgau Card | Ruhpolding & Inzell, which you get for free when you stay overnight in one of around 200 participating establishments. There are many activities to choose from with the Chiemgau Card, just to give you an example: You can go snowtubing and whiz down a 150-meter-long snow canal from the Kesselalm free of charge!.

Winter highlights in Inzell

The balloon week is an annually event in Inzell, where dozens of hot air balloons come together. The highlight of this week is the traditional "Ballonglühen" (glowing ballons). One evening, colorful balloons light up the night sky to live music. For cross-country fans, the Chiemgau Team Trophy is the event that mustn't be missed. It is cross-country tournament for Teams, the trail goes from Inzell to Ruhpolding. You can experience a touch of Alaska at the sled dog race. In the Max Aicher Arena you may whitness the annual Championships in ice speedway and speed skating. 

Cross-country skiing

80 fantastic kilometers of trails are prepared for classic cross-country skiing and skating.

Snow month

The snowiest month in the Inzell cross-country skiing area is January with an average snow depth of 65 centimeters on the mountain and 39 centimeters in the valley.

Night trail

There is a night trail in Inzell for night owls. The route at Camping Lindlbauer Inzell is illuminated every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and promises a special experience. Over a distance of 1.8 kilometers, a height difference of 23 meters is mastered.

Winter hiking

Numerous winter hiking trails lead through the well-known climatic health resort in the Bavarian Chiemgau.

Speed skating

The Max Aicher Arena is one of the most modern speed skating rinks in the world and the heart of German ice skaters.
